Some members of the Upper Allen Twp Fire Department attended the 6th Annual FDNY Symposium on March 14 and 15, 2014. The New York City Fire Department, in partnership with the FDNY Foundation hosted this event
The 2014 Symposium focused on Operations at High-Rise Building fires and Mass Casualty Incidents. They shared their fire ground knowledge to provide a training event that will make emergency first responders better prepared and more effective in performing their duties and responsibilities under these most challenging conditions.
FDNY Fire Officers explained Command Procedures and Company Operations for commercial and residential high-rise buildings.
It was very beneficial for this TRAINING with the large high rise buildings (Messiah College & Village) in the township that have lots of life safety requirements.
