On Monday April 21, 2015 volunteers of the UAFD gathered for their weekly training night. Tonight’s topic of discussion was vehicle rescue.
Firefighters reviewed the Holmatro hydraulic tool setup and operation and then reviewed the objectives to vehicle rescue; size- up, hazard control, gaining access, disentanglement, patient packaging and post rescue. Firefighters went through the objectives using a junk car donated by Coulson’s Towing and Recovery.
Thank you to the volunteers for giving up a night of time with their families to train for a better service to provide.
