March 24, 2016 around 10:47 PM, UAFD was called to 1700 block of English Drive for reported structure fire. Chief 23 arrived on scene and found flames coming from the rear of a multi-unit town house complex. PD was also working on evacuated the homes next to the fire via forced entry. Lower Allen FD coming back from another call was quick to arrive establish 2 handlines and also LDH for water supply. Engine 23 arrived and assisted with handline deployment and also with search. Command 23 called for 2nd alarm due to the size of the fire and also manpower. Crews worked on scene for 3.5 hrs and no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire was linked to a cigarette container outside the rear of the unit where the fire started.
