Today around noon, UAFD and neighboring mutual aid departments were dispatched for a possible house fire at Lake and Nursery Dr S in the township. Engine 23, Utility 23, and Chief 1-23 arrived to find a deck fire to the rear of a house on Hellam Dr which is in a different neighborhood. Engine 23 was able to get it’s own water supply off of Lake Dr and were able to stretch a 400ft and 200ft line in between houses on Baldwin Ct. to reach the fire. All incoming units were told to divert to Hellam Dr and Manor Dr in Kimberly Meadows.
Thanks to all units involved we were able to keep it to the deck and a fence with minor damage to the side of the house.
