July 4 and 5, 2009: Shortly after 1800 hours Sunday the UAFD was dispatched for an auto accident involving a motorcycle in 100 block of North York Road in Monaghan Township. Chief 123 arrived on scene to find a motorcycle had struck a car that pulled in front of it and one victim from the motorcycle lying on the roadway and another walking around. Engine 123 arrived on scene ahead of EMS and assisted with patient care and secured both vehicles. The Engine and Chief were available within 30 minutes. Engine 223 also handled a tree fire in Monaghan Township, that they were cancelled while responding, and wires on fire during the holiday weekend.
