2024 Training

This evening, crews toured the Upper Allen Sewer Plant. We do this tour annually to ensure we are familiar with the plant’s inner workings and know what to do in an emergency.

This evening, crews went to Hilltop Academy to flow water and work on hose line advancement. Our student drivers also had the opportunity to get some pump operation time on Engine 23. On evenings, like tonight, it is nice to work on some of the basics of firefighting.

This evening, UAFD hosted a VFIS Traffic Incident Management class. This class is designed for any and all first responders who respond to roadway incidents. Thank you to the Upper Allen Township Police Department, Monroe Fire Company, Penn State Life Lion EMS, Linglestown Fire Company, and Yellow Breeches EMS, Inc. for joining us!

With our new SCBA air packs going into service soon, we wanted to make sure our members got enough time to play with the packs. We set up a maze in the bay for the crew to crawl through and get familiar with the packs.
