April 2, 2007: TheUAFD was called to 2532 Rolo Court for a reported trailer fire at 2:19pm. Chief 123 (Salter) arrived on scene to find a working trailer fire with exposures on all sides. There was no one home at the time of the fire which was reported by a relative that was on scene. Engine 223 (Kaminski) established a supply line for a fire hydrant at the top of the mobile home community. After arriving on scene, two (2) handlines were put into operation to protect the exposures and knock down the fire. Tanker 23 (Casper) assisted with water supply and Truck 23 (Mechling) was directed to the plug to pump the supply line. Units from Citizens and Washington Fire Companies of Mechanicsburg assisted along with a RIT unit from New Kingstown. The PSP Fire Marshal was requested to investigate and has yet to report his findings.
