July 3, 2007: Around 14:30 hours the UAFD was dispatched along with Engine 233 (New Kingstown), and Rescue 27 (Citizens) for a reported auto accident on the PA Turnpike in the area of mile marker 232 Eastbound. Engine 123 (Mechling) responded and was given additional information that a charter tour bus had rear-ended a slow moving dump truck at a high rate of speed. Engine 233 arrived on scene to find an unoccupied bus with one class four patient and no other injuries. The engine crew arrived and assisted Company 33 and 27 with a nearly two hour extrication/recovery of the patient. Engine 123 returned to service around 17:30 hours.
