August 29, 2007: Around 0320 the UAFD was alerted along with other units to the Capitol City Mall Food Court for smoke in the building. Truck 23 (Kaminski) went responding shortly after dispatch as Chief 312 was given updated information that the police were on scene with a smoke condition present. The Truck arrived on scene and was instructed to go to the East side of the building and setup. As crews were preparing to make access, Engine crews found the source of the smoke to be from unattended cooking in a restaurant. The Truck crew assisted with ventilation before returning to service around 0415.
