October 17, 2007: Tanker 23 responded into Monroe Township tonight to assist with a house fire. The old farmhouse was unoccupied. Upon arrival, units reported heavy fire and smoke from multiple sides of the building and an exterior attack was initiated. Tankers were needed from across Cumberland and York counties because there was no public water in this portion of rural Monroe Township. At the time of this post, Tanker 23 had already dumped three loads of water in the water shuttle.
