October 4, 2012 UAFD was called around 4pm to the 600 block of Allenview Dr. for a reported structure fire. Chief 223 arrived on scene and confirmed dispatched and because of volume of fire asked for 2nd alarm. Chief 23 arrived and assumed command and called for additional units and also 3rd alarm for manpower reasons. Chief 223 performed operations on side A and Chief 27 worked on Side C. Everyone was out of the five units effected from the fire and some cats were rescued from the building and taken to EMS for care. No injuries were reported during the incident and special thanks to all the transfer departments and also Salvage 21 from East Penn for helping out. State Police Fire Marshall was called for investigation of fire.
During the 3 alarm call we also did have another fire in the township in rolo court at the same time. It was reported being put out via garden hose from PD and found to be electrical in nature.
