Upper Allen Fire Department are called to all types of emergency calls every year. We also get a few calls a year that are NON-Emergency to us but for township citizens it is to them. On September 8, 2016 was one of those calls.
The Fire Chief received a call from a township citizen about a cat stuck in a tree around 20′ in air. Chief arrived to investigate and called for the ladder truck and crew to assist with getting the cat down. FF Joey Heffelfinger performed the rescue as FF Bosserman, LT. Stefanowicz, FF K. Kunkel. and Chief Salter assisted on the ground.
We are glad to help and serve the citizens of Upper Allen Township. We appreciate all the support every year with our fundraisers and donations and also family that drop off snacks and food for firefighters from time to time.
