Friday morning, Squad 23 was dispatched for RIT to Silver Spring Twp, for a structure fire. While en route, it was determined Squad 23 was not needed and was diverted to a Pedestrian struck at the Flying J on the Carlisle Pike. While there, the crew noticed that the Squad had blown a coolant line and was not going to be able to make the trip back home to Station 23. Company 33 (New Kingstown) generously offered us an inside bay to park the Squad at their station until it could get fixed.
The Officers and Members of UAFD would like to thank Company 33 in helping us out and allowing us to store it in their station through the weekend. Squad 23 is now home and back in service!
