Last night was our third night of Aerial Apparatus training. We took our truck to Messiah University to go over manaul set up, truck placement and scrubbing a building with the aerial. Special thank you to Messiah University for letting us use a building on campus.
Upper and Lower Allen Trucks raised the flag today for Lower Allen VFW Post 7530 Dedication Ceremony. The Post was renamed to Kimberly Ann Fahnestock-Volez Memorial Post 7530, in honor to a fallen Pennsylvania female Soldier. We were also accompanied by Lisburn Engine 24 and Upper Allen Traffic 23.
Last night was our 2nd night of Aerial Apparatus training. Special thanks to the Fire Department of the Borough of Mechanicsburg for bringing their truck over for us to check out how their truck sets up and how the controls are to give us, which is a different perspective from how our truck operates.
Last night at 9:47PM, UAFD was called to the intersection of York Road and Siddonsburg Road in Monaghan Township for MVA with entrapment. One patient was extracted from the vehicle on its side and one patient was ejected. No casualties but severe injuries. Upper Allen was assisted by Monaghan Township Fire Company 67 and Northern York County Fire Rescue 15.
