FEBRUARY

6th – Transferred for a house fire at 59 Glendale Dr. in Silver Spring Township.

MARCH

17th – Transferred for a three and a half hour furnace fire at 632 Enola Rd. in what was then West Fairview Borough (now part of East Pennsboro Township).

25th – Assisted York County units in Franklin Township on a mountain fire on Mountain Rd.. First due units remained on the scene for 16 hours.

30th – Assisted Company 67 (Monaghan Township Fire Company) on a house fire at Andersontown and Siddonsburg Rds.. Units remained in the scene for about six hours.

APRIL

19th – Assisted Company 31 (Silver Spring Community Fire Company) at a fire at the Hall Mansion near the intersection of PA 114 and I 81. The unique construction of this residence coupled with the distance from a reliable water supply made this fire particularly challenging. Units remained on the scene for almost eight hours.

MAY

12th – Transferred while other units handled a hazardous materials incident on Interstate 81 nothbound, one mile south of exit 20 in Hampden Township. Units remained on the scene for over four hours.

16th – Transferred again for an incident in Hampden Township. This time, a house fire at 464 Woodcrest Dr.. Units committed for over three hours.

JUNE

1st – Transferred for another Hampden Township incident. A two alarm house explosion at 411 Spring House Rd.. First due units remained at the scene for just over three hours.

JULY

6th – A thunderstorm passed through the area this afternoon resulting in six dispatched, weather-related incidents.

9th – The company responded for an early morning auto accident with entrapment on W. Lisburn Rd. at Trout Run. Assisting were Company 27 (Citizens Fire & Rescue) and Life Lion. Units remained at the scene for two hours.

AUGUST

18th – Assisted Company 35 (South Middleton Fire Company) with a barn fire on Lindsey Rd. off Forge Rd. in South Middleton Township. First due units remained on the scene for nine hours.

28th – Assisted Company 25 (Monroe Fire Company) on a house fire in Churchtown at 1320 Church St.. First due units remained on the scene for over four hours.

SEPTEMBER

25th – Assisted Company 25 (Monroe Fire Company) on a shed fire at Williams Grove Park. Units remained on the scene for almost three hours.

OCTOBER

21st – The company responded to an early morning, fatal auto accident on Cumberland Parkway near the Square D warehouse (just west of Gettysburg Pike). Units remained on the scene with the coroner for an hour and 45 minutes.

NOVEMBER

1st – Assisted Company 67 (Monaghan Township Fire Company) on a auto accident with entrapment at York & Ridge Rds. in Monaghan Township. Company 23 units were committed for about an hour.

14th – The company, assisted by Company 68 (Fairview Township Fire Department) responded to back to back auto accidents on the Turnpike near milemarker 239 westbound. The second accident occurred at the same location two minutes after the arrival of the first fire units.

30th – Assisted Company 31 (Silver Spring Community Fire Company) on a house fire at 15 Wheatland Dr. in Silver Spring Township. First due units remained at the scene for almost five hours.

DECEMBER

2nd – Assisted Company 31 (Silver Spring Community Fire Company) on an early morning house fire next to 31 Homestead Lane. Units remained on the scene for over two hours.

11th – Assisted Company 64 (Citizens Hose Company, Dillsburg) on a garage fire at 204 Harrisburg Pike. Company 23 units remained on the scene for well over an hour.

29th – Assisted Company 67 (Monaghan Township Fire Company) with a structure fire at 112 Locust Lane in Monaghan Township. Company units were committed for four and a half hours.
