July 7 Car Fire

This evening, while returning from a fire alarm, our team on Engine 23 noticed light smoke behind Hess Garage on Gettysburg Pike. Upon investigation, they found a car engine compartment on fire. Engine 23 quickly stretched a line and extinguished the fire. Squad, Tanker, Utility, and Traffic 23 also responded promptly.

Fourth of July Dumpster Fire

Overnight, Chief 223 and Engine 23 responded to a dumpster fire in Cumberland Pointe Circle. The fire was quickly extinguished without further damage. While on scene, UAFD was dispatched to an unknown type fire outside on West Lisburn Rd. Chief 223, Tanker 23, Traffic 23 and Squad 29 (Mechanicsburg) responded and found a small brush pile on fire, behind a residence. Squad 29 stretched a 400ft line to reach the fire. Engine 23 arrived after clearing the dumpster fire to assist. Company 23 was out for about an hour.

July 4 Car Accident

This evening around 6:20 pm, Squad 23, Chief 123 and Traffic 23 responded to a vehicle into a house in Monaghan Township, York County. Traffic 23 assisted with traffic control. Squad 23 secured the vehicle and checked the house for damage. The damage was kept to the front porch area and there were no injuries reported.

June 25 Training: Tanker Operations

Upper Allen Fire Department members trained on tanker operations. This training is a great refresher for the older members and a new operation for the newer members. This operation also gave student drivers the ability to drive and operate Tanker 23 as if they were on an emergency scene in a rural area.
